This is my first photoshoot and I’m kind of nervous.
It’s totally normal to feel a bit nervous! At Nixie Design Studios, we make sure your photoshoot is a fun and relaxed experience. I’ll guide you through everything, so you don’t need to worry about posing. Just bring your favorite outfits or props, and let’s capture some beautiful moments together. If you have any questions or need anything, I’m here for you!
What should I wear?
Choosing the right outfit can make a big difference in your photos! Here are a few tips to help you decide:
Comfort is Key: Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. If you love what you’re wearing, it will show in your photos.
Colors Matter: Stick to solid, muted colors like earthy tones or pastels. Avoid busy patterns and logos as they can be distracting.
Coordinate, Don’t Match: If you’re taking group photos, try to coordinate outfits rather than matching exactly. Choose a color palette and let everyone express their style within that range.
Layers and Accessories: Layers can add depth to your photos. Simple accessories can also enhance your look without being too distracting.
Footwear: Don’t forget about your shoes! Make sure they complement your outfit and are comfortable for the shoot.

How many pictures will I receive?
The number of photos you receive depends on the type of session you book. After your photoshoot, I’ll provide you with a gallery of the best shots for you to choose from. This way, you can select your favorite images that truly capture the moments you love. If you have any specific preferences or questions, feel free to ask!
Are you available outside of Napa?
Absolutely! While Nixie Design Studios is based in Napa, I’m more than happy to travel to capture your special moments. Whether it’s a nearby location or a destination further away, we can discuss the details and make it happen. Just let me know where you’d like your photoshoot to take place, and we’ll work out the logistics together!
What if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?
Weather can be unpredictable, but light rain and cloudy days can create beautiful and unique images! We can use creative techniques to make the most of the conditions. If the weather is too severe, we can always reschedule your session for another day. Your comfort and the quality of your photos are my top priorities.

Absolutely! I can recommend a variety of beautiful locations for your photoshoot. Nature trails and parks are perfect for capturing the beauty of the outdoors, while beaches offer serene and picturesque settings.
