Getting to Know the Girl Behind the Lens

& her Creative Director - Onyx

Hello, I’m Laura—

a passionate mom, auntie, photographer

and full-time people person who believes joy is holy and laughter belongs in every session. I’m here to freeze the wild, wonderful, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that make life so good.

My daughter, two nieces, and nephew are my daily dose of sunshine. Whether we’re giggling over snacks or chasing light through the trees, they remind me why connection matters every time I see them! I’m also pretty sure my cat Onyx is my creative director—he supervises every edit with a purr and a judgmental stare.

I recharge in nature, anything with water and I'm in! Hiking is where I pray, meditate, and come up with half my best ideas (the other half happen while watching White Collar or blasting country music at 1am).

I cry happy tears while editing. I stay up too late because I can’t wait to relive our moments together. Whether it’s bestie giggles, winery portraits, or quiet milestone magic—I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a friend who’s cheering you on the whole time.

Your experience is at the heart of everything I do.

Whether we’re capturing bestie giggles, winery portraits, or quiet milestone moments, I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a friend who’s cheering you on the whole time. My goal is to tell your unique story through my lens.

Favorite way to recharge?

Hiking. Muddy boots, fresh air, golden light through the trees—it’s where I breathe deep, pray, and dream up new ideas.

Favorite Coffee Order?

None! I don't drink coffee...why do people keep saying that makes me a psychopath?

Most likely to be found…

Editing at midnight with some music or a good show, crying happy tears over a gallery, and talking to my trusted Creative Director Onyx! Or out finding dark skies to capture the milky way or norther lights!

When I'm not with family & friends, enjoying nature, or out shooting I also support fellow photographers

with editing and second shooting because I genuinely love helping other creatives shine. I know how much heart goes into your work, and it’s an honor to come alongside you—whether I’m helping polish your edits or showing up as a calm, happy second on a big day. I’m here to listen, cheer you on, and make your life a little easier.

My Editing Process

I blast music while I work, talk to my cat Onyx like he’s my creative director, and fully believe that if you don’t have a cat purring and “helping” you work, then honestly… how do you get anything done?

Some days it’s country or Christian music. Other days it’s comfort TV—White Collar, Suits, or anything with cozy chaos and good vibes. And yes, I watch Hallmark Christmas movies year-round. Don’t judge!

I cry happy tears while editing. I stay up way too late—not because the light was perfect (though it probably was)—but because I’m so excited to relive those moments with you. I get just as giddy seeing your gallery come together as you do.

Whether we’re capturing bestie giggles, winery portraits, or quiet milestone moments, I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a friend who’s cheering you on the whole time.
