Getting to Know the Girl Behind the Lens

and I'm thrilled to share my journey and passion for photography with you.

Let's dive into the story that defines who I am and what drives my work.

Ever since high school, photography has been my passion. I started working with a local studio, took college classes, collaborated with various studios, and was mentored by talented photographers. Despite my passion for photography, I wasn't ready to make it my full-time career, so I stayed in my full-time job in education, which I loved and offered security.

In 2014, my family suffered a devastating loss with the passing of my sister and her husband. All I wanted was another photo or video to remember them by. I meticulously preserved every image I had and began taking more photos with me in them, as I was always behind the camera. For years, I barely used my "real camera," and our photos were mostly cell phone selfies.

Then, during COVID-19, my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer at 59 years old. We reconnected and built a stronger relationship than we ever had as adults. We took our first real destination vacation to Alaska, a place my dad had always dreamed of visiting. My mom, his ex-wife, joined us on this incredible journey. After my dad passed in 2023, I started incorporating my love of photography into my life more as a way of healing and therapy.

I began spending more time camping and hiking, always bringing my camera along. I even started photographing wildlife and the stars! That's when I realized what I really wanted to capture: love stories and life's milestones in nature.

my goal is to tell your unique story through my lens.

I believe in blending into the background to capture those genuine, unposed moments that truly reflect who you are. I can be as involved as you would like me to be. I’m fun and easy-going, and I love capturing authentic moments. In most cases, I offer prompting rather than posing, but there are times when posing is necessary. I love balancing perfectly posed shots with candid captures.

As someone who loves to hike and explore iconic places like Yosemite, I find endless inspiration in nature’s beauty. We’ll venture through scenic locations like Valley of Fire, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, and anywhere your heart desires, to frame each shot perfectly while appreciating the beauty around us.
